Executive says UAC's jet output to soar in four years

MOSCOW, Aug 2 (PRIME) -- United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) aims at expanding production significantly to 36 MC-21 jets, 20 Superjets, 12 Il-114 and 20 Tu-214 per year in four years, CEO of affiliate Yakovlev Andrei Boginsky told PRIME on Wednesday.

"We have the task of making 36 MC-21 in four years (and the entire cooperation must produce 36 jets), after six per year, 20 Superjets per year, 12 Il-114s per year (engineering tests are being made), 20 Tu-214s per year, whereas now we have two," Boginsky said.

He said that contracts for MC-21 and Superjets had been signed. Three-year deals for Tu-214 had been signed as well until 2025.

"A contract for Il-114 is being prepared," Boginsky said.
